About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Network Security Expert for a client in Saudi Arabia. This role is critical in ensuring the security and integrity of our network infrastructure by implementing and managing security measures across firewalls, network access control (NAC), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and other security technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills to collaborate across various teams.
Key Responsibilities
Firewall Management and Optimization: Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls to protect the network from unauthorized access, while ensuring optimal performance and compliance with security policies.
Network Access Control (NAC): Implement and manage NAC solutions to control access to the network, ensuring only authorized devices and users can connect.
Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) Administration: Deploy, configure, and monitor IPS solutions to detect and prevent unauthorized access or malicious activity on the network.
Threat Monitoring and Incident Response: Proactively monitor network traffic, respond to security incidents, and lead the investigation of potential threats.
Security Policy Development: Collaborate with the IT and Security teams to develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures.
Security Audits and Compliance: Conduct regular network security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements.
Documentation and Reporting: Document configurations, changes, and security incidents, providing clear and detailed reports to management and stakeholders.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with IT, network operations, and other teams to address security issues, provide recommendations, and ensure the secure deployment of new technologies.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in network security, with hands-on expertise in firewalls, NAC, IPS, and network security monitoring tools.
Technical Certification: Certifications such as CCNP Security, CISSP, CISM, or Fortinet NSE are preferred.
Skills and Competencies
Firewall Expertise: Deep knowledge of firewall technologies, such as Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet, and Check Point, with the ability to configure and manage firewall rules and policies.
NAC Systems: Proficiency in implementing and managing NAC solutions like Cisco ISE, FortiNAC, or Aruba ClearPass.
IPS Administration: Hands-on experience with IPS solutions (e.g., Snort, TippingPoint, FortiGate) to monitor, detect, and respond to network threats.
Network Security Architecture: Strong understanding of network security protocols, VPNs, encryption standards, and segmentation.
Analytical and Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to analyze network issues, assess risks, and recommend security enhancements.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Certifications: Additional certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, Fortinet NSE (Level 4 or above), or Cisco CyberOps Associate are beneficial.
Experience in Middle Eastern Markets: Previous experience working in Saudi Arabia or other Middle Eastern countries is an advantage.
Bilingual Skills: Proficiency in Arabic is a plus but not required.
