Black Hat Hackers
Black hat hackers are the ones who use their hacking skills and abilities to cause disruption or exploit organisations for political / financial needs. There are many black hat hacker groups which are responsible for conducting major hacks on many organisations in the world. REvil, Anonymous, Lazarus, Hafnium are some examples.
White Hat Hackers
White hat hackers are the ones who usually help organisations in securing their digital presence. Normally they are ethical hackers, Penetration testers, Security engineers who work in different organisations to make a living. They never use their hacking skills and abilities to cause damage or perform any cyber crime on the internet.
Grey Hat Hackers
Grey hat hackers are the ones who lie between the Black hat hackers and White hat hackers. They help organisations secure their digital presence, However they have some malicious intents as well. They might insert a backdoor while conducting a pentest for an organisation or they might even put an adware / spyware in the systems. Grey hat hackers cannot be trusted as they might have malicious intents.
